The short version

This is a personal website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and shows no ads. The only personal data it handles is what you choose to send me through the contact form.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you enter are stored in a database (Google Cloud Firestore) inside my own Google Cloud project, where only I can read them. I use your details only to read and answer your message. I do not add you to any mailing list and I do not share your details with anyone else. Submitting the form also runs Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that the submission comes from a real person and may process technical data about your browser under the Google Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to use the form, you can email me directly at igor@isbogdanov.com.

Hosting

The site is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, it processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver pages and may keep short-lived operational logs. Google describes its practices at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. I do not receive or review this data.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you switch between light and dark mode, that preference is saved in your browser's local storage on your device only. When you submit the contact form, the Google reCAPTCHA service loads and may use its own cookies or storage as part of verifying the submission. reCAPTCHA does not load if you never use the form.

External links

Pages link to external sites such as GitHub, LinkedIn, publisher pages, and paper repositories. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which I do not control.

Your rights and questions

If you would like a copy of what you have sent me, or want it corrected or deleted, email me at igor@isbogdanov.com and I will take care of it. I am based in Canada and handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
